History is on the line.
The very first BUBL Championship tips off this Friday night at Stronach Community Centre, where #1 seed Forestline (MacFarlane Windows & Doors) will meet #2 seed Precision (HomeReady Pros) in a clash of heavyweights.
From opening night to now, both teams have proven themselves as the class of the league. And unlike the “Bubble” title debates in NBA history, this BUBL crown will carry no asterisk — this one was earned the hard way.
Forestline enters the Finals with a 2–1 edge in the season series and the league’s most dangerous scorer in Enrico DiLoreto. A finalist for both MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, DiLoreto led the entire league at 44.7 points per game, torching defenses with volume scoring and efficiency.
Though he was ineligible for awards due to only five appearances, Javonte Mitchell was nothing short of dominant when on the floor, averaging 36.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.4 steals. His ability to change a game instantly makes him a massive X-factor.
Team captain Emilio Dominguez was the heartbeat of the squad, averaging 21.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists across 10 games. Many argue he was snubbed from the All-BUBL team, but his steady production and leadership are undeniable.
Defensively, Conrad Esguerra brings grit and disruption as a Defensive Player of the Year finalist and All-Defensive Team member. New addition Berly Mvika-Kiesse adds rebounding muscle and flair, while Charlie Turney (a finalist for the Grinder Award) sets the tone with relentless hustle. Add in Salman Khan’s shooting and vocal leadership, and Forestline has depth to complement its stars.
Precision is led by MVP finalist Tyler Vanessen, who stuffed the stat sheet all season with 31.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game. A true two-way force, Vanessen also earned spots on both the All-BUBL and All-Defensive Team, making his case as the most complete player in the league.
Protecting the rim is Benjamin Blackman-Smith, a DPOY finalist and fellow All-Defensive selection. His ability to control the paint and then push the ball coast-to-coast gives Precision an added dimension in transition.
Perimeter firepower comes from Jayson Luong, who averaged 37.7% from deep and narrowly missed out on All-BUBL and OPOY honors. He’ll look to make a statement on the championship stage.
Guiding it all is captain Brandon Garzon-Acosta, a floor general who contributes across the board and inspires his squad with relentless effort. Surrounding him, Keith Panamick and Brandon Brown bring scoring punch, while young talent Tyler Tremblett has emerged as a showman ready for the bright lights.
Points per game: Forestline 99.3 | Precision 97.3
Rebounds per game: Forestline 41.3 | Precision 48.0
Assists per game: Forestline 16.5 | Precision 20.5
Turnovers per game: Forestline 8.4 | Precision 10.7
Steals per game: Forestline 9.4 | Precision 9.0
Blocks per game: Forestline 1.2 | Precision 3.2
Forestline holds the edge in scoring and ball security, while Precision dominates the glass and rim protection. The numbers suggest a razor-thin margin — and the head-to-head history agrees.
Game 1: Forestline 117 – Precision 99
Game 2: Precision 96 – Forestline 87
Game 3: Forestline 89 – Precision 80
Forestline took the series 2–1, but each matchup revealed a different storyline. Forestline’s firepower overwhelmed Precision early in the year, Precision struck back with defense and balance in the rematch, and Forestline closed out the regular-season series with a hard-fought win.
For both teams, this is bigger than one night. The winning squad won’t just take home the trophy — they’ll become the first-ever champions in BUBL history, cementing their legacy as the standard-setters for years to come.
Friday night will crown the inaugural champions, and every player on the floor will have the chance to etch their name into the record books forever.
